Anticipating and Navigating Conflict as a Leader

Wednesday 15th October, 6:15pm - 7:30pm (UK Time)

Good leaders don’t avoid conflict – they develop a toolkit which enables them to anticipate and navigate it with integrity and confidence. Given that conflict is inevitable in the workplace, learning how to navigate this well and turn workplace tensions into opportunities for growth are skills worth developing. This webinar is designed to enhance your appreciation of different contributory factors and conflict styles, and to build on the essential tools and approaches required to manage conflict proactively.

In this interactive webinar executive coaches from the team will share insight and tools supporting you to:

  • Understand the typical root causes and triggers which create conflict, and the broad negative consequences if conflict is left unaddressed
  • Promote psychological safety within your team or function so that the conditions for constructive rather than destructive conflict are in place
  • Deploy practical management techniques and models which can assist you in navigating and resolving conflict, including input related to self- regulation and de-escalation, judgment and bias, conflict styles and communication
  • Rebuild trust after conflict and foster a culture of collaboration and resilience

This session is recommended for any Bayes Postgraduate Alumni interested in the topic and wanting to navigate conflict more effectively, and particularly for leaders who are wanting to reduce instances of destructive conflict in their own interactions, across their team or with senior leadership.
