Stelios Scholarships Event



Join us for an informative and pleasant evening hosted by The Stelios Philanthropic Foundation. A unique in-person event that will provide you not only with a chance to find out more about The Stelios Scholarships but also to hear from Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou himself who will join the event remotely.

Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, Founder and President of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, and creator and owner of the easy family of brands (www.easyHistory.info) is most famous for founding easyJet at the age of 28. He graduated from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) with an MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance in 1988. 


The evening will also feature a masterclass on the subject of Public Equity Financing: an IPO Case Study from Dr Nikos Papapostolou; Associate Director for The Costas Grammenos Centre for Shipping, Trade, Finance, Director of MSc Shipping, Trade and Finance and Stelios Scholarships Programme Lead at Bayes. The event is also a great opportunity for you to network and meet other prospective Bayes students.

The Stelios Scholarships are given in honour of academic excellence, demonstration of financial need, and promise of continued growth. Successful applicants to MSc Shipping, Trade and Finance and all Bayes finance and entrepreneurship related full-time MSc courses with Greek or Cypriot permanent residency can be considered.

Please note, in-person attendance is highly recommended. Nonetheless, parts of the event will be streamed online for those who are unable to be there.
