Thank you for your interest in CCE's Aspiring Chief Executives (ACE) programme 2025. We would be grateful if you could take about 15 minutes to answer the application questions below. We will contact you to confirm receipt of your application form which will then be reviewed by the programme leaders, Mandy Hetherton and Lisa Barry, who may then be in touch with you to discuss your application.

The ACE 2025 programme will take place on the following dates:

Module 1: Friday 31 January 2025 (in-person)
Action Learning Set 1: Friday 6 February 2025 (online)
Module 2: Thursday 27 and Friday 28 February 2025 (online)
Action Learning Set 2: Friday 21 March 2025 (online)
Module 3: Thursday 3 & Friday 4 April 2025 (online)
Module 4: Thursday 15 & Friday 16 May 2025 (online)
Action Learning Set 3: Friday 13 June 2025 (online)
Module 5: Friday 27 June 2025 (in-person)

This programme is being delivered with both online and in-person elements.

Modules 1 & 5 in this programme will be delivered in-person at Bayes Business School from 09:30 to 16:30. Modules 2, 3 & 4 will be delivered online via Zoom from 09:00-12:00. All Action Learning Sets will be delivered online via Zoom and run from 14:00 to 17:00.

There will also be an evening 'in conversation with' two sector CEOs on a date to be confirmed closer to the time.

Please note that once your application has been approved by the tutors, your place on the programme is not secured until you the programme deposit has been paid. More information about the deposit process is available on the programme website.

4. The Programme

To relate your learning on the programme to your practical leadership experience, we are asking each of you to have an organisational dilemma in mind that you can refer to briefly in discussions with other participants and tutors. Please can you summarise, in two or three sentences, a current dilemma that you'd like to work on (N.B. If your project is sensitive there will be a confidentiality agreement at the start of the programme).

This programme is being delivered in a hybrid format, with some elements being held in-person. For these sessions catering will be provided. Please use the space below to let us know of any specific dietary requirements and allergies that we should be aware of.

5. Invoicing Details

As and when you are accepted onto the Aspiring Chief Executives programme, you will be asked to pay a deposit of £699 in order to secure your place on the programme. Please note that your place on the programme will not be confirmed until the deposit is paid. We will then send an invoice for the balance of the fee (£2,096) approximately one month prior to the start of the programme.

Bursary

Bursary scheme for smaller charities
The Centre for Charity Effectiveness is keen to make the Aspiring Chief Executives programme accessible to as many organisations as possible, regardless of their size. As a result, we are offering a bursary scheme which would give a maximum of two individuals from smaller charities the opportunity to apply for the programme at the reduced price of £1,995pp.

In order to be eligible for the bursary the applicant’s organisation must have an annual turnover of less than £500,000. The two bursary positions will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis.
